So I send sound waves at a very high frequency. That’s why it’s pretty painful. I tell everybody it’s painful. It’s better to warn somebody that this is going to be painful and they’re pleasantly surprised that it’s not painful versus you put it on somebody and you don’t tell them and they jump off the table.

So with a shoulder, it’s a whole complex. There’s muscle tendons, ligaments, and joints. So that’s what it’s hitting all of those areas. And what it breaks up is calcification in the tendon, scar tissue in the muscle, and adhesions in the muscle. You don’t even need to use that word, but that’s just a fancy word.

It means like a scar tissue that’s right over the fascia it’s called, but just scar tissue in the muscle. and calcification of the tendon. That’s what is breaking up. That’s the first phase. There’s two phases. There’s always two phases. So the first phase is the breakdown phase. The second phase is the rebuild phase.

That’s why you need to put heat on. If you don’t put heat on, you don’t get the second phase. So the person will have increase in mobility, but the shoulder will never repair. So then we put the heat on that promotes inflammatory process. So blood flow going into the muscle releases growth hormone and IGF one, which promotes new healthy cells being rebuilt in that area.
